Exercise is a challenge for me. I don’t pop out of bed in the morning and want to exercise. I have found some things that I enjoy, though. I enjoy vinyasa yoga, long walks with DH, hiking and I am also getting back into running. Though I enjoy these things, I still have to force myself to do them sometimes. I hope that this is a feeling that changes one day. I want to be one of those people that it just comes naturally. But in the meantime, I’m trying to fake it till I make it.
I love my three wheeler bike until my back surgery. I am no longer able to bike until they say I can. But I have a post -op visit comeing up, but I do not think I am ready yet.
All they want me to do and all I can do right now is walk. And I do like it, but the freedom I had with the bike was grand. Soon I will be back in the saddle. I just need to be patient.
I hope you do well in our journey to eat right. I have lived with an overweight, sometimes obese husband. I see his stuggles and my heart aches for him. So I have ‘some’ idea what you are going through, but not form personal expierence, just as an observer.
Love your blog!!!
It took me a long time to get into the exercise routine. Oh, I always did something, but not with any regularity. Walking, usually 2-3 days per week, which over a few months, turned into 4 days per week.
I’m still pretty stuck on 4 days per week for my walks, but my distance has increased.
I also added some strength training, and I just started high intensity workouts.
It’s taken a while, but now, I’m training for my first marathon, race walking of course.
Keep with it, and I think you’ll find your way to loving it, too, just like I did………………………:)
