
Ingredients:
1 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion, diced
8 oz baby bella mushrooms, sliced
1 tbsp crushed garlic
2 28 oz cans crushed tomatoes
1 28 oz can diced tomatoes
2 tbsp italian seasoning
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 tsp worchteshire sauce
1 tsp sugar
.75 oz fresh sweet basil, chopped
Instructions:
In a large pot, saute the onions until almost clear. Add in mushrooms and garlic, season with salt and pepper and then cook until onions are clear. Add in remaining ingredients except the fresh basil. Season with salt, pepper and crushed red pepper. Let simmer for as much time you have, at least an hour. Taste for salt, pepper and crushed red pepper and season accordingly. Stir in fresh basil and remove from heat. Serve hot over pasta or use in any recipe that calls for marinara sauce.
